Mileage will be fine. its stored in the BCM. Not a difficult job at all. 7mm socket, extension, short phillups screwdriver. Look for the hidden screws. 1 on each side of the dash behind covers, 2 way inside the glove box, a couple around the glove box, 1 or 2 under the dash vent and the pad comes off. remove the cluster / radio trim screws, pull out a little. cluster has a few screws in it and lifts out.

Does anyone have a website or detailed instructions on how to do this? I have time on my hands and i guess i would like to do this myself without taking it to a mechanic.

Just incase down the road when i get a new cd player i can learn how to take apart my dash.

I dont know about the website. It will only take you maybe 10 min to do it. If you want to take the radio out finish taking out the screws that go through the top of the cluster/ radio trip and pop it the rest of the way off. there are spring loaded clips around the radio , a/c ,dimmer, and cig lighter. the same type of clip is used on the dash pad above the cluster.
