The same people tried to put a WRX engine, RWD LS*, gerbil powered, or some other incompatible engine.

If you have the time and money, go for it. It would be cheaper to get a Celica though...

Just imagine the bracing you would need to not to twist the chassis.....unlike honda engines...toyota's usually produce torque over horsepower.....

Im not trying to be a naysayer....but lots of work.

Ok, good for you. YOu're putting a supra motor, RWD, in a vehicle designed for fwd. the chassis flex will be HORRENDOUS, and like whatshisname said, you will need much additional bracing. Plus, you will need to completely reshape the floor pans for a drive-shaft/trans tunnel, shorten the supra rear end (its wider) And build a complete frame to mount everything on. And the supra in-line 6 would probably be too long to fit in the engine bay.

Most of my info gathered on building a rwd v8 cavalier, just changed a bit for the supra idea.

well then why not convert it to fwd??? which is easy to do with their trannys, so are you saying your ganna try this or you saying that its impossible??
could always put the motor in sideways like a v8 or front ways or cock eyed

Give it a try, let us know how that works out for you.

of all choices a motor out of a supra. what the hell is wrong with you.
the only motor i could think of that you could use would the Grand national motor its shorter even then i dont think it would clear the shock towers
the conversion to rwd would mean a front subframe with complete suspension . weld that in then tub the car with ford nine inch rear with complete 4 link. un less you have about 50,000 to 70,000 dollars for labor parts not to mention DFI. if want a rwd converted compact buy the focus they suff 5.0s in them.

an S2K is already RWD and have you seen under the hood? if you pull off te enoromous stock intake box there is like a good foot of open space, it looks like the motor is to small for the engine bay. the S2K would be infanitly easier to but a 2JZ in

Good luck keeping all 4's on the ground...

2JZ + Sticky tires + RWD + the tall, short, narrow stance of the J-bod = A whole barrage of problems I wouldn't want to deal with.

no,
Im sure I can find other things to buy for that kind of cash. Not to mention the headaches of meshing the different manufacturers parts together, full frame construction and so on, wow. And when your done you got a car that you cant sell to get any of your 50K back.

Lmao put the engine in the trunk, why not just put a standard transmission in it replace the trunk in back with the hood and we could call it a vw Bug.
