Ive searched and all i can find is people who have asked and get to told to use the search function well i have and i cant find it . situation is i got a 97 GT 2.4 5speed that was rear ended badly and is un fixable i can pick up a 1997 2.2l 5 speed with a body kit for 500 bux it just has a blown break master cylinder. i was wondering if A) the gt's mater cylinder will work and b if i can just swap the engine clutch and ecu from the 2.4 and it will work? the clutch and the engine in my GT are new i dont want to loose the peppy 2.4 or the brand new clutch and fly wheel. Please dont tell me to use the search function i have and can find the specific answers im looking for. im pressed to make a decision as the guys insurance company is breathing down my neck.

well i did a search and the master cylinder part numbers are the same so i assume the swap will work all i need ot know is if i can do a simple ecu and flywheel clutch and engine swap? the clusters are the same im sure both being 5 speed u know engine mounts im sure will have to be swapped only thing is i dont know if the bell housing on the 2.2's tranny is different
thanks ecu should plug right in right? if the tranny is swapped then the mounts have to be too i suppose air box blah blah is given drive axles? i dont know is there a link any one can give me with the full run down i cant seem to find it but im sure its on the sight.
thank you for the reply but i do in fact have a 2.4 ecu out of my Sunfure gt that will be swapped with the engine tranny mounts and so on. so it should be ok then. thanks for the reply again.
Swap in the engine, tranny, wiring harness and ECU from the GT and you will have no problems.
