I'm starting to get to a point now where I can spend money on my car again now that I'm running out of warranty (only 12k left, holding it as long as I can) but I'm running into a few snags in getting prepped. For one, there is no Haynes manual for a 2005 Sunfire. Infact, I can't find much info at all on them for some reason. I understand its relatively new as far as that goes, but all the sites I've seen online seperate it from the 04 models as well.
My question is, what is the difference between my '05 and an 00-04 model (besides cosmetic outer body design). Is there any reason I can't buy performance parts for my '05 like it was an '04? If I shouldn't, what should I be looking for?
03-05 Sunfires are pretty much identical... in fact, most of it's the same as a 95 Sunfire too... just the minor details change...
yea its all pretty much the same, most of the parts on my 05 cavalier where ordered for an 04 they all fit fine.
there is a haynes manual for the 05 its for like 95-05 cavalier/sunfire i have one here. i bought it at canadian tire. but the info on the ecotec is pretty limited. i might buy the cobalt one if it has better instruction and images in it.
