drivability problem 98 Z-24

I own a 98 Cavalier Z-24 with 5-speed manual and 150,000 miles. It has been a great a little car, and well maintained. Recently, however I have noticed a problem. This car is my daily commuter car and most all miles are highway miles. Once the engine warms and I am driving (usually at highway speed) and begin to hit traffic I find that as I coast down for other traffic and then depress the accelerator to get back up to speed, the car seems to begin bucking/stumbling and there is a lag or hesitation in accelerating. It feels as though it is going to quit running, but never has. This only lasts for a fraction of a second and then acceleration begins normally again. I have noticed this same bucking sensation just on deceleration as well.
I have change the spark plugs and plug boots, coil packs, cam position sensor, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, and had the fuel pump checked, all to no avail. The problem still exists!
The odd thing about this is that the car idles well and acceleration from a dead stop and between gears (up or down) is just fine as well and when the engine is cold I don’t notice this problem either. Any ideas?

Check the IDI cover. No harm in checking that. Make sure there are no cracks in the cover. That will make it run funny sometimes.

check the vacume lines, honestly it could be killing its self but something else pulling too much vacume. my can has done this too me before. It was the break booster as a matter of fact.

are you leaving it in to high of gear? releasing the clutch to quickly will make it buck.
