Make sure your spark boots are correctly seated and your connector for the ignition system is seated. Also make sure your injectors aren't leaking and are correctly hooked up (correct wires going to the correct injector).

Take off the rsm piece and put it back to stock. God knows their products work about aswell as a roll of quarters dumped into your cylinders.

agreed...

i think people should ALWAYS ask about things like this, before they go buy it. (not meant to insult btw, just a general statement for everyone)... RSM is just a bunch of crooks... they rip you off with their "high quality performance equippment " ( )BULL S HIT!! thats all it is... most people on this site not only dispise, but loathe this "company"... and now you know how bad they suck too

good luck with this man, if you can get this to work, more power to ya, but i think youd be better off going with something else.

Claimed to be 62mm but measured out to be 60.x? and for $400, are you kidding me...

just my 2 cents.

Not everyone paid $ 400... and BoostedCavi (Lee) has had nothing but fantastic results with his Pulley.

make sure that the tube that runs to the MAP sensor is connected. It is a small tube that goes to a piece nipple located outside below the throttle body on the intake manifold and up to the MAP sensor located on the right of the TB when you look into the engine.

As for the RSM TB i personally don't see any gains from it becuase if you really look at your stock intake manifold, how much can you really do to plastic.

the throttle body is a rip off..im talking about price wise. yeah it helps
because SIZE DOES MATTER but it aint worth 400 bucks. and as far as the mani,
you can do that with a dremel tool. all they do is chew out the opening so the butterfly valve will fit, thats it. like ^^^ said if ya look at the ports you'll see that you cant do @!#$ with em'.

I got rsm mainfold and tb pretty much cheap! anyway

I just got the TB installed, the idle isnt normal anymore, while it idles, it shoots to 2,000rpm or so from 1500 over and over.

WHY? i dont see any way to adjust the cable on the TB, maybe on gas pedal?? let me know what it is!

thanks

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! That reminds me of that guy who tried to port and polish his GTI by getting a bag of sand, sticking his intake into it and starting his car.

GAWD THAT WAS FUNNY!

Loosen the slack on the cruise control throttle cable. There's a plastic dial adjuster on it.

Here's the sand story:

Quote:

"Hey guys, I've got a 98 1.8T. I've had a k04 and chip for a while and wanted to get more performance. I was recommended to port and polish the intake and exhaust. We found out they used abrasive material to do it like gritty sand. So I got with my friend that tunes Hondas and we decided to try it ourselves. We got a bag of sandblasting sand and hooked up into the intake and started the car. We had to hold the gas so it would run. He wanted to let the engine suck in the sand through the intake so it would port it out and then push it out the ehxaust so it would port the exhaust manifold.
I was worried that it might cause problems but he figured it'd be OK as long as we didn't make boost and it get sucked in the turbo. After running the car and letting it suck in sand we got about half way through a 25 lb bag. The check engine light was on and the engine was bucking and kicking and sounding really weird. We stopped and hooked the car back up normal and took off the sand supply. We tried to start it again and it was really hard. Once started it couldn't idle and kept making weird noises. We took it out and drove it and it started to make scraping and knocking noises.
Help! Can anyone tell me what to do! My buddy only does Hondas so he doesn't know much about Audis."

Heh heh...
