i bought a 5 speed cluster today from the wreckers, its for a 99 2.2L my car is a 99 2.4L Z24. the guy said it should work, but my Z24 is in europe and would like to be 100% positive before i ship the cluster there. Anyone confirm it will work? has anyone tried it?

Yes it will, but the mileage will be incorrect.

X2, Both the 2.2 and 2.4 ECU's send the same signals for everything. So it'll be a direct swap. It's more common to put a Z cluster in a 2.2 car that didnt have a tach. So you'll be fine.

i just did this swap today. mine is a 2001 2.2 ohv and i swapped a z24 from 2001 into mine with tach. as smooth as ever to do and an easy alternative to the big tachs they have out on the market. the connections were the same. basically plug-n-go
