I bought a 95 z24 with the quad 4 in it, the engine is getting rebuilt in it right now, I just wanted to know if there were any places that I can get performance chips or anything like that for it, thank you
well you can possably get a chip from mantapart...possably can order it but you may or may not get it this year....its very easy for you to do swaps to 2.3 H.O./W41 parts....cams, throttle body, intake from 89-91 beretta's ,olds celasis(sp?) and 89-91 grand am's..quite a noticable gain from what i hear

joe your profile isnt filled out so i dont know what you have..but if you have a manual tranny there are many many options for you...including REAL pcm chips(as stated above) and many other engine options AND tranny options
I am sorry baout that, a little new to this site, dont know how to do the profile yet, but will figure it out, yea, i have a standard transmission, i just want a chip to get rid of the govenor and/or anything else, that is, if there is a governor
be careful about mentioning the G word on this site..some people will bite your head off just for mentioning it..so all i can say is read you PM's
manual, get the HO, and ditch the LO in the 95. it's well worth the expense. the 95 quad was a bastard year and really cant be upgraded well. But, the HO bolts right in, and makes about as much power to the wheels as the lo makes at the crank (depending on year, and add ons).
the Mantaprt chip is abut the only one, others are being worked on, and there are a ton of performance goodies for the quad4, including a header (a real header), a supercharger setup (a real supercharger, not the M62), and several other options, like titanium rods, racing cams, and several other items.

Ahhhhh Mfk-223, seems like the GM power 4 cylinder is finally getting it's well deserved boost in the aftermarket. Or should I say, it' finally coming out to the public more.
I just wanted to add or ask I should say, but I was told that in 95 half of the cars where OBDI and the others later in the year where wired OBDII. If he has an OBDII car he can't chip right? Cause I have a 95 Z with the 2.3 LO with a OBDII connector in the car. Also you 2.3 guys need to help me out with a intake cam housing cause my lower housing around the oil sending unit is cracked. Please help me out cause I want to get this going this month. Also the secret exhaust cam would be nice for added power if anyone has one for me layin' around. Hotbug please say you have something for me in the means of a 2.3 intake cam housing.
trd if your car is a 95 and has a quad with a MANUAL transmission then it is OBD1 ...they all had the obd2 connector so dont go by that

yeah I bought W41 hot grind 2 cams and I'll buy his titanium valves springs.

Yeah I'm going to go through him for my build as well. he can get the parts cheaper than Summit, by a LOT. I'm also going to try and work with him on which will be better and the most cost effective, the stroker or a rebuild set up for FI.
