I have a brand new '03 Sunfire 2.2 Eco, auto.
I want to drop it, turbo it, and exhaust it. BUT, i'm not sure where to even start. I don't want to buy parts that I will have to replace for the turbo, and I want to install something and have my car run after the installation. In other words, everytime I put a single part in I want to be able to run it after (exception is with the turbo, I can understand that takes weeks but i'm gonna buy a beater when I get to that step.)
I read the suspension FAQ but I wanted some opinions from fellow sunfire drivers on what springs ride nicely with our cars. Which turbo would do well, and I was thinking T3/T4. Rims I can decide on myself and i'll probably do some rims then drop it.
Thanks for any opinions and advice you can offer.

and you got that from the total of 3 posts he made since he joined???
but he does have a point. research what you want to do. no sense in buying a header for your car if you want a turbo
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
No one can tell you what turbo you should buy, or what suspension you should pick out, etc. Anything you purchase for your car should be picked out for a specific purpose and it should be bought while keeping in mind how it will affect other mods.
Forget about boost for now because I have a suspicion that you don't have alot of knowledge or experience. I don't think you'll be able to answer a few questions that I can throw at you right now. To get you started: What numbers do you hope to run? What times do you want to reach? What about internals? Fuel? Would spark and timing be an issue? What about exhaust? Possible ECU programming? How much money do you want to spend? Do you want a kit or put your own together? Who will install it; you or a shop?
With respect to suspension, what do you mean by 'springs that ride nicely'? Do you want good handling, a nice drop, adjustability? There are a host of questions that you can ask that will help you decide what suspension you should pick out. Is this a daily driver? Do you want a stiff setup that could be harsh on roadways or great on the track? Do you want a soft ride for comfort on roads? Do you want to be able to adjust your suspension? Do you want to 'slam' your car?
What about brakes? If you want to go turbo, you should think about upgrading your brakes as well as suspension.
You should make a list for yourself and start reading and learning. Take on one project at a time. Use the goals you set for yourself as motivation and direction. If you have any questions you can get in touch with me privately. Good luck.

No, I got that from this post only.
Any person that doesnt know what parts they shouldn't buy if they want to boost probably should'nt be asking which turbo to use

well come on aholes help him out a little. I don't know much, but...
you dont need a header like stated. Also if you get the rest of the exhaust done before you go turbo you need to go with 2.5" pipes. I wouldn't do the intake because that will change with the turbo. But in the mean time a 35 dollar ebay intake will do. You will need an FMU like i think someone said, but if you go with the hahn kit or whatever it comes with it (correct me if my drunkass is wrong). And it sounds like you will be better off going with a premade turbo kit.
I would judge my springs by how low you want the car to sit and then by people's reviews from this site.
I dont know about cams, and other internals that you will need to get to handle boost. I am still learning like everyone else, but I am sure if you run a search you will be able to figure it out. Check out the ecotec power link at the top of jbo too. Lots of same people, but things tend to stay more serious over there at times and more informative.
Always make sure you search before you post too, vicious vulture bastards will rip you a new one if you dont
