i was lookin at the 2.3 vs 2.4 thread and couldnt find an answer to this...
will the head bolt to the 2.4??? what changes need to made if it doesnt directly... and is it worth it?
The closest brand new 2.4 head is in Atlantic City Jersey... and thats like 220 miles away...
so thats out of my range...
so im looking at all my options...

how involved is it to drop a 2.3 HO complete? is it worth it... or should i just say screw it all and just find a junk yard 2.4 head and rebuild it...
if you want just the HO header yes it will bolt on..but you need to machine out the coolant passeges to match......
as far as dropping in a COMPLETE HO engine? well, if you have a 95 Jbody then its a direct swap..if you have anything newer its a bit more...all the mounts are still the same and the engine will bolt up the same,but youll have to change the pcm and wiring with one from a 95 to make everything work right
neither are worth it really...the 2.3 head will give you stupid high compression..like over 11:1...just get a 2.4 head and have it rebuilt, by far your best bet
