You just need the MSD DIS 2, a soldering gun, solder, shrink wrap and the instructions. the instructions

I got mine on my 2.3L in about 20 minutes, from start to finish. didn't change the coils, and it made a slightly notable difference in acceleration, and so far a slight improvement in fuel mileage ( about a mpg or two)

so your telling me all i need to do is get the msd-dis2 control module and some tools and get the instructions off of nyjbodies and thats it damn. i thought i would need like a different coil pack or spark plug wires and stuff like that. damn i guess it's time to start looking around for the best price. Thanks dude!

I'm pretty sure the coil packs, wires, Etc are all optional... The DIS-2 is only the controler I believe it is much more efficient than stock but if you want to really cook something you will need to replace the coil packs with MSD ones and use some wires... A guy had a full setup a few months back on BCJBODY.org but I'm pretty sure it is long gone by now...

i looked around and stuff and noticed that it is hard to find a performance coil pack, and spark plug wires. i looked on ebay, i looked at the msd website. all they got is coil packs and plug wires for the 2.2 not the 2.4. if any of you guys can point me in the direction of where i can find these for the 2.4 it would be very much appreciated. Because if i'm gonna go with the msd ignition i want the full setup coil packs, wires all that good stuff thanks.

I thought all gm delco style coils have been the same since the late eighties...

msd coils- Msd Coils

And i think the easiest thing to do with the wires is get a kit from MSD and make your own, you can make them the perfect length that way, thats what i do.
