hey to everyone
well im just starting to get into the mods on my 2002 2.2L cavalier coupe. I already have a k&n short ram intake, 2 vibtrant front and rear strut bars, and going to be getting a full cat back exhaust with 2.5 or 2.25 pipe with a 2.25 in and 4ich out magniflow muffler. Im just about to lower my car and ive decided on the springs, canuck, with a 1.5 drop.. but im finding it difficult to decide on which struts to get( mainly cuase im on a student budget, and cant afford too much at the moment,)but im thinking that it should be alright to just use the springs till i get the money to get the new struts.
from there going to be looking for more on suspension and upgrading brakes.. does anyone have any suggestions on what are good and maybe a bit cheaper ways in doing that?
well, with a 1.5 inch drop and a budget, id go to ebay and get the kyb AGX struts

ahh ok.. what about the drop zone shock/struts or the kyb gr2? are they any good?
any other mods that might help in the suspension area? besides sway bars?
you buy cheap, you get cheap results
KYB AGX struts and the eibach prokit is good. the springs offer a 1.4 inch drop all around
some slotted rotors, hawk pads, and steel braided brake lins are a nice up grade for brakes
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
i was thinking about eroble and bendix ti pads for my brakes actually.. maybe some lines.. but they are $$.. so might hold out on that for right now. would the kyb agx work well with canuck springs?
The bendix pads come w. a warrenty one time against wear. It's like buy one, get one free! We do this at Advance Auto Parts....buy them, fill out card, return used ones w. card and get free off the shelf!

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
go w/ 2.25"
Canuck motorsports makes 1.4 and 1.75. i have the 1.4". i got them cuz i dont like slammed cars but now i wish i got the 1.75". get struts. my rear struts rattle over big bumps cuz im on stocks. no $$. www.j-body.com
Working on obtainting an M-Class license... ?? Hint: 2 wheels.
I'd say to just save up and do the job once. Swapping springs and struts isn't hard to do with a spring compressor and good set of hand tools, but i wouldn't make a hobby of it. Plus as much as I hate the fender gap, I hate bouncing going down the street. Tein H Tech would probably work on stock struts without many miles on them cause they're only like a 1" lowering spring and pretty soft spring rates.
