My 97 Sunfire wont start, everything was fine, filled up the tank and went home, next day it started up then after I came back out of the house it was off. It will not start at all but it will seem to try for a second then nothing but cranking. Thought it froze, was cold when the problem began but it was 42 degrees yesterday. Any ideas? I did put in gas antifreeze after the fact.
Well first thing i would do is check for voltage..if you have at least 12.6Volts ..it's possible that your alt cooked and the car was just running on the battery, that being said..if you had the defrost on, stereo ..blah ..blah there's enough current drawn to kill that battery fast
I had the same problem same motor same year. My plugs fouled. how long since you changed them?
