1. Check the brake fluid level
2.Ensure the charging system is working i.e. No low volts
In this link the lights were left on for a long time and the ABS light then came on and the Alternator was NOISILY topping up the battery then the light went OFF

After these checks, if the wheel sensor wirng is good and the sensors clean it's probably go get the abs codes pulled unless someone else has a new suggestion.
Good Luck

im listenign too, same problem. my lights flicker just a tiny bit then abs and service light come on. then i can feel the brack vibrate like abs is working then the lights come on. checked all my wiring its fine, so i should test my alternator? and would it have anything to do with it that when i brake really hard and i had my back seat down then my trunk light would come on inside, really wierd.
did you check the fuse? it could just be that the fuse needs to be replaced...if not, you chould check your calipers, and the electrical connectors and wiring from the speed sensors to the brake light switch, or just take it to the dealer..
^ sorry but the sensors are on the knuckle in front and in the drum on the back. The speed sensor don't do anything about the Abs.

mm.. yeah, speed sensors are located in those places, but they monitor how fast you're going so the EBCM can tell if you're braking really hard all of a sudden and to avoid wheel lock up it turns on the ABS.. so yeah they do have something to do with it. But even if that is the problem, those are hard to fix, and ABS sucks anyways.
no they don't. VSS is on the tranny on our car. Not on the wheel. The only sensors on the wheel are the ABS sensor witch work with a geared wheel witch tell the ABS module if the wheel is locking up or not.
