I'm looking at getting a 2005 Cavalier Sedan in about years time. In Canada we have the VL (base), VLX (LS), and the Z24 (LS sport). Now the weird thing is that in the states the LS comes with the sport cloth. I have looked in the brochure from the dealer it says that its not for the VLX. Whats up with this? has anyone in Canada seen a 2003-2005 Cavalier (non-Z24) with sport cloth, because the 2000-2002 LS Cavaliers have the sport cloth?

Only the Z24 comes with Sport Cloth from 03-05.
Some Canadian models are packaged differently. For example, base Canadian coupe comes with body side mouldings, smokers pack, and rear spoiler. All this is optional in the US. Also US has no Z-Type. Another big difference is that only Z24 has AC as standard equipment., while In the US all 03-05 have AC.
US does have a z-type they call it a base with LS sport appearance package.

Whatever. To anyone who knows anything about J's they look very different.
US Sports Appearance has no body kit, no fogs. Just a spoiler.
Canadian Z-Type only has FE1 with 15's. US Sport Appearance package has FE2 along with 16 inch wheels.
Z Type is available totally stripped. US Sports Appearance package requires 1SB which means they all have mats, tilt, CD, vanity mirrors, flaps. You can't get flaps or vanity on any Canadian base, Tilt and mats only if you order AC.
Z Type has only base sound systems. US car can be ordered with MP3 and other upgrades.
In other words they are packaged differently, just like the VLX, LS. And they look different.
Comparing US and Canadian models isn't always as easy as we'd all like it to be.
Z22, Cavalier GT, Z-Type, SS, GTX, Extreme II... the list is very long of market-specific packages that are totally different depending on where the "package" was installed. Some are dealer rice, some are GM Canada, some are just hype.
Unless you look at actual RPO options.. you'll go numb trying to compare options.
Bah, moot point... and off topic. This thread is about interiors..
Plus not all Z-Types looked like that. It was never an official GM Canada model... it was different depending on the year and market area. A Z-type in Vancouver is going to look different than a Z-Type in St. Johns.
Just like Z-22's... it wasn't a package, it wasn't an official trim level.. it was better than a base model, but not as nice as an LS or Z24. The options changed depending on the dealer that did the ordering.
"Z-Type value Sport Appearance Package"
As I said before, it's NOT A MODEL. We can beat this to death over and over (and trust me, it's been done many times).
Canadian
models are VL, VLX and Z24. That's it. No Z22. No Z-Type.
^^Lenko has got it! I didn't know that sport appearance package was different in the US...my bad. What do you have to say about the sport cloth interiors lenko?
No idea on US models.. and GM USA has taken down the Cavalier info.
I'm in Canada too
Vancouver BC to be exact. But Joe's right on this:

I just find it weird that GM Canada would be jip out customers who pay a little more for their VLX sedan, they didn't for the 2000-2002 LS sedans. Looks like i'll have to buy nice leather seat covers or swap in some LS seats from the olders Cavs.
I know Joe Kidd is right in terms of the documents provided by the dealer, but sometimes the car can be produced/ordered weird and it could include the sport cloth. (its happend)
