Question need help

I have coilovers right now and I want something alittle more stiff so I was wondering what you guys suggest for a stiffer ride ... I already decided to get sportline lowering springs because I want like a 2 or 2.5 drop all the way around. So I guess I'm wondering what you guys suggest for a struts?? to go with the sportlines or if there is any other springs that will drop it lower then the sportlines.

What kind of coilovers have you got that you find the ride isn't stiff enough??

I don't recommend dropping lower than Sportlines using anything other than an air-ride system. There's just not enough travel left to safely drive that low.

if you want something that low than you should really get coils. now are you sayin' you want somethin' more stiff because the car bounces? you may just need struts to go w/ the coils. i noticed you said your looking for struts to go w/ it some right now im figuring you have stock struts on which is probably the problem. if you want to ride that low i would suggest koni yellows. the d-specs would probably work too but for the money your going to pay for either or, i would just get the yellows. also what kind of coils are they? if their cheap ebay coils, even konis may not help the ride. the main problem w/ the ebay coils are that they arent designed for our cars, they use weak metal for the coils, and the spring rates are through the roof. thats another reason to get konis also. their going to be your best bet if you have those type of coils. also remember that koni does have a warrenty on their struts but there is really no set limit on a drop they cover, just as long as you dont abuse the strut then you can get a replacement strut. if your riding on ebay coils, it will probably blow the strut sometime down the road and it may be hard to get a replacement strut from koni considering you werent using a coil setup designed for our cars

Note though, that if you have no travel then it really doesn't matter what sort of damping you've got. If you can't compress the springs, then you don't really need to damp the energy of the decompression, right?

And no... this isn't a solution. It's just a description of the problem.

That why I only suggest an air-ride system if you want to be this low. Then you can raise it up for drivability but still slam it for the bling you want.

or you can just set the damping on the strut and ride around slammed all day

I have dropzone's that i got thru jason but i just really don't like them and i kinda want a different setup all together so i thought if i did sportlines i would atleast get like a 2.0 drop which i would be happy with i just hate wheel gap and i really want none what so ever if possible with springs

Dropzone suck ass. Toss them in the garbage.

From what your describing sportslines would be a good choice, pair them up with a good set of Koni's or Tokico D-Specs.
