I'm looking for a brake upgrade on my 97 Z-24. I would like to have bigger disk in front and brake disk in the back. Does anybody know what brand does this kind of upgrade for a J-body ? Or a swap I could do ? I've been looking around and I can't find any.....
Well, a couple companies make larger front discs and rear disc conversions. Baer and SSBC are the most popular. Those will run you 800-900 a piece though (so 1600-1800 total).
Honestly, I would just get Gravana's brake package. SS lines, slotted rotors and decent pads will improve your brakes significantly. I use a similar setup for autocross and it works quite well.
A larger disc upgrade and rear conversion is really only needed if you do some SERIOUS lapping (at like Leguna Seca or something).
