I have just installed the TEIN Basic on my car but the ride height is a little low. I have the front at the highest point but that gives me a two finger gap between the tire and fender. When I had the rear at the mid point on the threads it was half an inch higher than stock, I lowered the rear to be at the same difference to the front as stock.
My question is what should the height of the car be when the coilover is at its maximum height. I really don't want the car to be as low as it currently is. Thanks to any one who can help.
I thought that kit only dropped .2 inches from stock??? I wouldn't imagine the rear should raise any higher than it was from the factory... but i could be wrong
It doesn't make any sense that your front all the way up wouldn't be as high as stock, but the rear all the way up is higher than stock. Where are you taking your measurements?
At the very least, according to Tein, the fronts are -.63 from stock and the rear are -.08 from stock when you have them raised up all the way. You should double check that you have the springs in the right place (front springs in the front, rear springs in the rear). Also, follow their referencing material in their installation notes(under adjustment of ride height)
here.
After double checking your installation you may just want to contact Tein directly.
Ive been trying to call them since Friday but no one ever answers the phone there so I leave a message, I'm going to switch the springs today and see what happens.

yeah like me here too i like my front low and went i go to lower the back spring they wont go any lower same as the front i'm like uh uneven drop, the back higer the front i had the back all screwed down to the bottom and the front i'm like whoa lots more to lower it. so now my set up with 225/40/18's front like one finger gap which i like it at and the back 3 fingers so i'm not please with it that hight with the coilover lower at the lowes height at the back :-(
Does anyone have install pics
May be they designed to be a factory specs which stock has te rear higher than the front. Having it level will affect the cars handling. There is a reason for the higher rear.
