high rev K brace

Why is it only for the 5 speed cars? Is this part compliant with the automatic? Is there a differance in the underbody?

Auto uses a bigger tranny so there is less room to work with.

Also, last I heard they are no longer in business and they have moved......

Well I had it for about a week or so before I sold it off.
I'm running an auto.

But.....
It will fit the automatics if you tuen the thing upside down.
The auto tranny pan getsin the way, the way its designed.....but it can be installed.
Problem will run into anything on trhe road you run over will rip that thing in a second.

Also, it was a VERY light weight square tubular steel piece.
Not getting into al the physics, but tube steel is supposed to be really strong.
But that thing was hella light.

Highrev is done for though so gonna have to fab your own.

I desinged the 'K' brace for 5 speed 2.4's....... The design was to keep the brace as high up in the subframe as possible...... to keep it from hitting things on the road.

I just sold my last one.

Yeah I could sell it was designed to make clearance not a problem.

Could you have another, same design but just a litlte longer square bar?
Then taper off the ends like the Ken sfb of sorts.
That would help fit the automatics perfect.

Even if you make one, I'm down for about +/-$100 on it.

I kept a template of this design, just in case I was going to make more. I have a new design in mind, for when/if I get back to these...... (which I prolly will, since the last one I sold was for my car....... I guess I'll have to make more)

If you've got the auto, either flip my brace over (to still have that 'K' brace design) or go with Ken's brace.

Boo,

We need a good dedicated K design for autos.

Group purchase.
How much/many do you need to make to get this thing rolling.

And 97cav, don't think I didn't forget about that 1" Helwig you holding off from me.

Pay for the metal, and we'll weld one up......... I'll see if I can barrow Brolan's welder for a few days.

As for the Auto's....... I'll have to get a Auto Z into my garage, and see what I can make fit. I'll start with the 2.4, then work on making a 2.2 one work......

I've got a welder here now, so as soon as I get time, and pick up some metal, I can make a few. I've got a ton of projects on the table right now, just trying to sort everything out.
