Springs off of coilovers?

Hey I was wondering if I could use the spring only off of a coilover to lower a car minus the sleeves and perches ONLY the spring? Just curious.

How low would that make it go?

Thanks,
Chris

that would be REALLY F-ed up...and remedial.

i say this cause justin rockwell did this to his girlfriends car. VERY cool guy, but just a bad idea.

after we put the stock spring back on the ride was 100% better, you didnt bottom out on the smallest bumps, and it didnt look and sound like the car was broken.

seriously, i wouldnt do that to my worst enemys car....

sure it served the purpose of lowering the car, but at the expense of making something more dangerous and all the noises...

ask scrufdog, i still have the divet scab top of my head from hitting the roof when we all drove to the junk yard.
