Ok Im needing some help. I am running 2 Viair 450c compressors, there both about 8 months old and there both broken. One has blown PTFE piston ring and the other Has a Shattered Piston Bearing.
I know Viair makes rebuild kits that replace the counterweight, piston, and bearing, and I think the sleeve. Now where can I get them Ive looked all over online for em and no luck.
thanks!
Try to talk to any dealer that sells the compressor. I would call Easystreet and ask them if they can give you some assistance. They sell the product, so I am sure, they could direct you properly.
Any local pneumatic suspension shop would probably be able to help you as well.
Are the compressors under any warranty that you can use?

The warranty was voided when I tore em down to see what was wrong(which you have to do anyway to install the rebuild. And I checked with all the air places around here and no one carrys parts for these style compressors. As far as easystreet they just give me contact info for Viair.
Viair responded finnaly last night and told me They Do have the replacement parts and will sell them directly to me but they didnt give me a price or pics of anything so Im waiting for that now.
try suicidedoors.com i know that they sell viair products not positive on the rebuild but good luck with your find

How in the hell did you kill both of them in 8 months?
What pressure are you running.
Ive heard that the older ones like mine are stronger than the newer stuff.
I am all that is man
I dunno why they Die I run them uauly from 90-145PSI nothing more, They just suck i guess. Still waiting on Viair ro get back to me o the parts But I know for a fact they have them now.
they deefinetely dont suck thats all anyone i know will run I've only seen one break and thats cause he was running it at 170 and that took a year and a half to break
How dusty is the air in your area? Drive on any dirt roads? If you don't have really good filters on those things the dust will eat the teflon (PTFE) coating in a hurry.
Its pretty dusty here but im shure thats not the problem because they both are filtered and have clean filters in them and there inside the car.
And after checking around localy with a few bagged friends no one likes the 450c alot of people have gone with th 380, 550 or a thomas compressor. Even 2 people have the BIG ass Oasis compressors and there fast as fjuck!
