Stock F anti-sway bar, rear choices?
Wednesday, July 27, 2005 4:28 PM
I have a 2005 base model Cavalier with the sport package. I've looked and see that I have the front anti-sway bar. Would the RKsport rear be ok to use along with the stock front one? Will it give me a more neutral feel, or will it be too much for the car? If so, then I'll probably get the Eibach or Pro-Line set. Thanks for the input.

this will all depend on the springs you choose as well as the struts you have and the setting on what will be neutral or not...

I have the Addco 1" Rear Sway Bar and let me tell you, it definetly increased the overall cornering and handling abilities of my 03 cavalier, I too have a front sway bar. Some people may say 1" is overkill but I don't think it is, the Addco one is also solid steel so it does weigh a fair amount (5lbs. MAYBE). Its all up to you, I think the stock front one is around 19mm so if you want a more neutral feel I'd say go with the size novaracer suggested, I got the 1" just because I am a hardcore Autocrosser. Good luck!

your stock one is a 24 mm... which is the same as his...

it varies throughout the years...

22mm was 00-02

below that was the 19mm

I have the stock suspension for now. I'll change it out in a few years. I'm going to do it right the first time with struts/springs combo. A few inexpensive upgrades would be fine for now. I really miss the independent suspension in my 03 Neon, that was great. I wish GM had made that as part of the J-body. Oh well.
