AIR RIDE????
Tuesday, July 12, 2005 7:25 PM
Can anyone tell me if its normal if i have air in the bags and then when i release all the air from the tank by opening the screw on the bottom of the tank for the air to release from the bags once the tank is empty ? Soon as the tank empties the air from each bag will release
from the tank as well . Can anyone tell me if there is something wrong. I have the Easy
Street air suspension. Thanks in advance for any help

Doesn't sound right to me. As long as you don't hit the switch the bags should stay full. It's probably a valve problem.

It's normal, valves need higher preassure on the other side to remain closed, once the tank preassure starts equalling the bag preassure the valve will equallize and drop the bag. A way around it is to put check valves before each set of valves.

Thanks for your help. Is the easy street kit suppose to come with check valves? How do most of you drain the tank for water etc with out the car going all the way down? How often
should it be drained? Just one more question if i let the air go lower then 10 psi while parked only will this hurt the air suspension .

no air ride "kits" at the moment that I know of come with check valves, to drain just open the drain valve for a little while untill the water is out, don't have to drain the entire tank, water will naturaly be at the bottom, but for safe meassure you should always empty your bags and have it laying on the ground anytime you are messing with the air ride. Shouldn't have to drain very much at all if you have water traps, maybe twice a year. Last question...NO

Maybe twice a yea??????????? DAMN!!!!!!!!!

Down in South Texas you would have a tank full of water if I waited that long.
I drain mine once a week. But mine is just a ball valve on the bottom so its quick and easy for me. When I used water traps I had to drain them every other day and it was a pain in my arss.

I am all that is man

Yeah I've never had any water accumulate in my tank, I use water traps and empty them every week.
