URGENT:need to know if coilovers can go on reverse
Tuesday, July 12, 2005 11:50 PM
i bought some tokico dspec struts, and i have some low end ebay coilovers i wanted to use, but i tried to fit the coilovers on the dspecs and the threaded perch doesnt sit on the plate on the side of the strut.

i want to know, if i flip the coilover upside down, if i can set the spring on the plate and then put the threaded perch on the top near the top of the strut, instead of the other way around?

any help will be greatly apperciated!

Yeah, why are you running the risk of blowing a set of perfectly good D-specs with those coils?

Buy some decent ones.

why use a cheap set of struts on a good set of struts to mess them up. end up have to buy a new set of coil over and struts.
I am not sure about the Tokico. Are those good to use with coil overs?

agreed with everyone above....

thats like wearing a calvin klein suit, only to borrow underwear from a bum who wore em for 5 days straight.

not to mention on coilovers, NOTHING should be setting on the spring perch.

if you have to do that, then its OBVIOUS its not made for your car.
