Its starting to bother me that one of the pistions and adjusters is sitting higher in the strut mount than the other one. I bought a set of Strut mounts off of event last fall which should have been for 95-99. When i ordered my struts one was on back order through KYB which this one which came directly from them is the one sitting higher. All the Part numbers matched and look like J-body struts. But this one also came with a little notice saying about the 00+ strut mount problem and also was supplied was the spacer. The other front there was no notice and no spacer and sits about 1/2" lower than this New one from KYB themselves. When i installed the mounts Event had them Zip tied together with everything there and i know i put them on correctly. Sheesh this was my 2nd time doing my suspension. I had to use the spacer that came with the new one so there would be no gap between the nut and strut mount. Now i have no clunking or suspension noise problems, but i am wondering if that is possibly causing my high speed vibrations. Anyone have any idea? I played with the adjustments knobs and put the fronts to 4 to see what would happen. It reduced some of the vibrations in front. But i didn't leave them on 4 and put them back to 3. I've done new rubbers on all wheels, front wheel bearings, balanced 2 times and i still have high speed vibrations.
Is it possible that the short one's nut may not be tightened down enough?
As far as vibrations, I had one with a set of wheels once. I took them to about 4 different tire shops and every single one said the wheels and tires were fine, not bent, and balanced. After I put different wheels on the vibrations were gone

.
It occurs with my stock steel rims aswell... Which never had problems with them before. Then when i switch around wheels that aren't making any vibs to the front, they vibrations are still there... So its somthing more than wheel bearings and the wheels themselves. I just don't know what. None of the struts are blown and the ride is nice and firm.
sounds like it could be more than 1 thing! first clean and relube the caliper slides and make sure that their is no slop. then is that does not get it have the car aligned. you will be surprised how much a much better your car will roll after cleaning and relubing the slides.
see ya!
Did you get a wheel alignment?
Done the alignment, when i changed the wheel bearings i relubed the slider because they were bone dry. But also when i stop i think my front brakes are out of tune because my whole fron shakes a little bit. I don't think they are warped enough to throw off the wheel vibratioins.
do you feel the shake from the wheel of from your butt?
see ya!
Wheel.. same as the high speed vibrations when they occur. The wheel goes from side to side really fast.
