If you lower a car on stock struts with say Eibach Sportlines, is it possible to break a weld in the strut? As in the weld on the lower half of the strut that holds the main shaft to the braket to attaches to the suspension? Thanks for your time.

Anythings possible. I'd say it's possible w a whole stock setup. Depends on if you hit a serious pothole or a curb.
Just normal everyday driving it's still possible, but maybe not likely.
