I want a good lowering, but i also want to keep GM shocks for 2-3 years if possible....so what are the best springs to choose?
A vendor told me that B&G are horrible...is that true?

Nothing more aggressive than the Eibach Prokit springs, and even those will probably kill the stock dampers in well under 2 years.

wanna keep the GM shocks for 2-3 years? then dont drop.

any drop will mess it up, even the prokit and probablv the B&G after a few months.

From what I've heard B&G make good springs. Sportline's will be too low. No one can really tell you how long they'll last, but it's probably not a good idea anyways. Like WW said, you MIGHT get away with pro-kits for a while with a bumpy-but-bearable ride. It's just not worth it though.

if you want a drop and dont want to invest in better shocks then dont drop your car...

Do it wisely. Do it once.

if b&g are crap then how come bmw and other major european car companies have them, b&g, make their springs for their cars. b&g is one of the best springs out there. i'd get the b&g over eibach anyday of the week.

GM strut won't even last 10-15k miles on stock springs.

I couldn't have said it better myself!!

Eibach vs B&G isn't the issue here... the issue is that the stock struts ARE CRAP plain and simple. They simply will not live for any period of time on any springs other than the stock junk they get paired with from the factory... which is for comfort, not performance.

If you put performance springs in the car... pair them with performance struts (not just another OEM/stock replacement... you'll have the same issues over time). Don't throw money away... do it right the first time.

Trust me

I agree, don't lower your car at all on stock struts. My car had the Eibach Prokit on stock struts when I bought it and the struts were completely dead. Not only did the ride suck, the extra rebound ended up killing the strut mounts and wearing out the CV joints.
