As the title states, I'm looking for suggestions as to what people feel is the best all around budget suspension. I'm looking for a replacement for my worn out stockers, and possibly a little bit of a handling upgrade, along with front and rear sway bars(neither of which my car has, damn 99 cavy).
My local parts store sells cheap, one year warranty complete strut assemblies for $99 a piece, front or rear. But, since I'm not wanting to lower the car(it barely makes it out of my driveway as it is), if I could rent the tool to install the springs, and reuse the stock springs, then I could potentially get myself a much better set of struts for the same or similar money, I'm thinking either GR2's or AGX's.
What do you guys think about reusing the stock springs?
Also what mounts should I get?
Any help is much appreciated!
If anyone has any better suggestions for a strut that comes in between a GR2 and AGX, I'm all ears!
For what your wanting i would say AGX'S
FU Tuning
Is it okay to reuse the stock springs? Any suggestions on what mounts to get. Are cheap parts store mounts good or is there a better alternative?
Anyone wanna share an opinion with me?
Easy, hit rock auto, and get either KYB or Gabriel struts.. Will run you 10-15 bucks more, but will handle better....
Monroe sensatracs are a bit soft, but work too...

Are you saying complete struts, or reusing the stock springs?

Just get the complete strut. Much easier to do.....

i HIGHLY suggest STAGG! I been buying them for 2 years and there out performe stock oem struts and allow for a little drop if u want. here check em out! stupid cheap and FAR better than OEM spec!
STAGG
I ended up scoring a deal on some agx's thanks to the org. Pairing them with a set of moog cargo control variable rate springs. Should handle nicely I think.
