Hey guys, I had my girlfriend driving my 98 Cavalier since May. I get in it the other day and every bump I hit makes the rear do this slamming up and down. It's a harsh feeling, its like the tire is jumping up and down the road. The rear of the car will actually shift a little on the road on a decent bump. What the hell is this?
Bad shock absorber/damper/whatever you want to call it. Definitely.
Oh yeah I had it so bad the car would try to walk around on this one section of road. I replaced the resr struts and mounts n it solved that problem.
Rear shocks without a doubt. Means the fronts are likely blown or on their way out as well.
