The neon swap is common and cheap.

wish I knew about these before I did my neon conversion... would have saved me lots of money...
I have a set of those
....on my RC car...
he asked for the cheapest, so I delivered!!!
Do you really want to go "cheap" when it comes to brakes? I mean.. it's what stops your car! Really..
Cheapest would be to build your own kit.. using Neon parts.. or Camaro/Corvette parts.. or find a set on a car in a wrecking yard, or someone's set they're selling off. Check the classifieds!
cheap or not hes going to end up with a brake caliper and a rotor, already stopped something before so cheap isnt a bad request here. As long as its automotive and not go kart stuff lol.
how about some drilled and slotted drums?.......now that's going cheap and simple no?

uuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmm... and I thought my idea was cheap. I like it. lol.
Maybe some drilled tires to help you slow down better as well. Slotted and drilled if you have slicks.
and btw... John Lenko has a good point. Teh Jeffie's link is also nice. Go there and read what they are doing. It is pretty cool
