When I bought this car (2001 cavalier 4 door base 94000 miles) in 2008 no lights were on on the dash. A few months later the abs light came on so I took it to a chevrolet dealer that my aunt worked at to see what the problem was. After going through it they said that the pump and part of the brains that controls the ABS went bad. They said that my car's brakes would work fine just not having ABS, they would just lock up when i slammed on them. But, if I wanted them to fix it, it would cost me about $2000. I opted out on that one since I had just bought the car for $2200. I have been driving it since but am curious to see how difficult it would be to get my ABS working again, and what all would need to be replaced?
