rear brakes wont adjust?

I changed the brakes 96 cavalier. Last few times I changed them, they worked fine. I just changed them, then took them off and did it again twice. The still arent adjusting correctly, and the ebrake doesnt hold.

you need to adjust the the tension on the springs with a screwdriver....

...there is a little mechanism in the drum for pushing the pads further out..if you adjust too far the drum won't fit over the pads...so adjust enough so u can still get the drums over the pads.. the mechanism looks like a little hook that sits in a notched wheel...

you can't miss it....then they will be tight. your ebrake should most likely be ok...

I have the same exact problem, i used a master rebuild kit on them, i replaced everything except for the pads themselves.. i was told the arm that hold the adjuster wheel is not belt at the right angle and even after i bent it to where it is holding for sure, they wont stay adjusted...when you come to rolling stop like to a stop sign, pull your ebrake as you push your brake pedal, does the rear of your car suck down? my rear brakes work as long as i pull my ebrake as i stop. anyone have any idea?
