how long do strut mounts last for?

I think the aftermarket strut mounts might be going on my car again (after about 50,000km) how long do these things last?

My car makes clunking and popping noises going over bumps or coming to a stop.

Well there are a lot of things that can effect the lifespan of mounts...alot has to do with the road conditions you drive on a regular basis. I think when I first lowered my car, the stock supsension had about 60-70k on it, and the stock mounts looked pretty rough and had alot of play in them.
Also, if your car is lowered (even mildly) it will increase the wear on the mounts. I think I'll be switching to Overkill Engineering mounts in the very near future as I'm seeing much quicker wear on the stock mounts.

the roads here are rough so i got that and my struts are original struts from factory and they have over 100k miles on them. The car is not lowered.

My mounts were toast at 80k. Thats the reason I went with the tein ssp's to never have to deal with that again. Supposedly the 95-98 mounts are better than the older mounts, and I've been told that this is a factory replacement part all the way.

You can prolong the mount's life by shooting some silicon (3M is a damn good one) ever so often, say like every oil change. Prevents a dry out and lowers the chance of noises as well.

95-99 front mounts are definitely the way to go if your sticking with stockers. They're a 2 piece design so when the bushing wears out, you can just replace the bushing, as opposed to the entire mount (00-05 mounts were a one piece non-servicable design)

My rears clunk and its getting to the point that the rear of the car vibrates at highway speeds....i think its time to replace them.

My fronts have about 160k on them (been on 2 cars) still good. My rears I did replace with aftermarket one recently, they were starting to come apart.
