i need springs and struts and i was looking at the megan racing lowering springs and the price is good for me as i am a college student. i was wondering if i would be alright with stock style struts like the monroe struts and the lowering springs for awhile till i can get a set of the koni yellows. ride is not a problem i drive lifted 4x4s and i like leaf springs better. so ride is not an issue. and would that combination of suspension work with a set of 225/45/17 tires and wheels? any help would be appreciatied.
Well, those lowering spring would go well with koni yellows and the 225/45/r17's.
My question is why would you want to install lowering springs on stock replacements struts until you get the yellow's? You would have to pay to have it aligned twice; once when you install springs on stock struts, then again when you get the yellows. Not to mention that you will be buying stock replacements that will just blow and make your car ride crap... My advice is that you live with the 4x4 stance of your stock j-body for now until you have the correct parts to do it once and do it right. I'm in college as well and I know first hand that it is a huge financial drain (especially when tuition is 32k a year), but from experience you'll be better off doing it once.
