I chanced it when I bought the Eibachs and just bought KYB GR2s because I didn't think the cavy would last as long as it has. Now those struts are toast finally so I need to get a new set. Will buying the AGX or Konig struts really make a difference in ride quality? My freaking kidneys can't take this crappy ride anymore and I'm thinking of just throwing the stock springs back in.
That is because KYB GR2s are not made for anything other than stock springs.............
AGX or Koni would make a night and day difference.

Its not the springs causing the rough ride its the shocks that are not meant for a drop (which are probably blown). The prokit its a pretty soft spring compared to other lower springs and since its progressive it rides pretty good (if you get proper shocks).
Agreed.
I'm on the AGX and ProKits and man, I so love the drive on these.
So don't fret and get some of the Koni's or AGX, whichever you can afford, and start enjoying the ride.
Good luck.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
Oh the are definitely blown now. But yeah even brand new the ride sucked. I'm on the fence again though with this thing cause this time it has 248,000 miles. How much longer is it really can keep going??? LOL!
Kyb directly says the AGX isnt designed for a drop. But they must tolerate it beeter.

thats because the struts you used were stock replacements. not for drops.

it'll keep going as long as you maintain it. simple as that.

Well if you do it right, and fix / replace everything that needs to be fixed, you should be good to go.

i have sportlines (more drop than the pro kit) on koni's and the ride is decent. nothing to complain about i can assure you that. i actually like the ride a bit more stiff anyway so it works out well.
All I want... is a little of the good life

Not sure if you mean the GR2's are not meant for a drop as the AGX's are good for a 1.5" drop if I remember correct.

^^^^ that is correct KYB actually says "our AGX line works well with the Eibach Pro Kit but it is not designed for more than a 1 1/2 " drop"
