I posted some pics of my car not too long ago and someone mentioned I need some wheel spacers cause my rims are a little tucked in, in the rear. Well of course this is something I never noticed or looked to notice before and needless to say now it bothers the @!#$ out of me. So I'm going to fix it and I already have an idea of the size I'm going to use.
However, I never paid any attenion to this area before so I had a couple questions. What have you used how has it worked out any issues and lastly if anyone has any pics that would be great especially before and afters.
I'm not going to do it real soon cause at that point I'm going to roll the lip just to play it safe and I think I'm going to get a roller for that I son't want to risk anything using a bat..
Thanks
I have the same prob after lowering the car you can see it even more....
ebay man, just search for "cavalier wheel spacer"
that'll do the job just fine
Eat my shift
make sure they are hubcentric.. and dont go to thick or your lugs wont be able to bite onto the studs.
I know what to use and all, I'm more or less looking for clearence pics and hey I used this size heres how it looks. The only concern I have is the amount of spaceing related to the amount of stud left over. Thats the biggest reason I always stayed away from wheel spacers on any of my cars.
if thats what you're worried about, just measure how much room you have with your wheels on, but nuts off, and then measure the inside of the nuts. that lets you know how much of the lug stud you're using, and give you an idea of what thickness spacer you can put
Im running a 7mm spacer on my stock studs and still have 8 or 9 threads to grab, minimum i think should be 5 from what ive read. I'd be anal with the toque wrench as well.
IMO the only spacer worth doing in the rear would be at least an inch thick. these thicker ones come with there own studs.
basically you bolt the spacer onto your hub on the stock studs and this one extends out its own set so there is no need to worry about stud length.
also, they are made out of aluminum so added weight is kept down.
All I want... is a little of the good life

Thats exactly the one I'm thinking of using but I'm looking more at maybe 3/4" do you have that one on your car?
if so any pics? I'm curious to see how it looks, if its crap looking fith the extra gap or if it looks ok.
i do have a set for my rear, yes but my srt-4 rims are only 7" wide so the clearance really shouldnt be an issue.
im assuming by your sig yours are 8"?

One inch is way too much.
1/2 inch is too much and depending on your offset, you'll have to either roll your rear fenders or add some camber to tuck in the rear wheels.
Here's some pics of mine on half inch spacers before I ditched them for discs. I'm presently using a 7mm spacer to make it look right.
Here's what I was using prior to getting the 1/2 inch spacers. They're two 7mm spacers put together to give me 14 mm.
Here are the wheel spacers I bought that were a 1/2 inch and worked out well. They did bottom out on the fender on occasions which prompted me to remove the spacers and go with less spacing.
Here's what the car looked like with the 1/2 inch spacer. Looks pretty good and the way it should.
Here's what the car looked like with only 14mm spacers.
Hope this helps a little and get the hubcentric spacers that are for 57.1 hub.
Good luck with it.
