not level

hey guys....i just went and changed my front end (struts, springs, and top mounts) because the ride has been bad for sometime now...and when i got the car back from getting it done, my front end feels/looks much higher than before...so is it because its just been done why its so high? i have alot of weight from stereo equipment in the trunk also...so is there a way to even it out without spending alot of money or taking the audio system out?

because you changed your front struts and they havent been worn in yet your front end will sit up higher until you either wear 'em in or replace the rear ones. new struts are alot stiffer than worn in ones and your rear end has been worn in so it will sit lower, i might be wrong on this but thats my opinion on your situation.

thx for the response....do you know how long it takes to wear them in???...and should i buy some lowering struts for the rear for the weight

it would be best if you want it to level out and it could take a long time to wear in, one other thing i was thinking about today was that maybe your shocks havent settled yet and that would account for the unlevelness to it. just give it a week or two and if your car hasnt leveled out yet just go ahead an replace the back ones.

did u put stock springs on?

its def the fact that it has just been done and the rear hasnt...its ALWAYS a good idea to do both front and rear at the same time....

i would do the rears asap and it will settle at the same time for both and sit as level as its going to with all the stereo equipment in there...

u could always upgrade and lower it if u havent already as well....get a set of tokico d specs or koni yellows and some sportlines or whatever spring u wanna go with....i prefer eibach for springs...or a set of coilovers and u can set it to be level...

air ride is also an option

i changed the front struts springs and top mounts.....i was thinking of doing air ride....is it very expensive???....and to change everything to lower my car would cost alot seeing as i just changed the front end...lol...but air ride sounds nice

well u can find kits around....i have someone by me right now selling a whole jbody kit for i believe it was 1200 or 1300 bucks...im presonally not an air ride type guy....i got something up my sleeves for my car that i guarentee will be nice...and probably one of a kind....

so yeah even used its still a lil expensive but worth it to upgrade from the stockers....so most cost effective route right onw would be to get the rears done asap and then saving for a nice coilover setup or some bags...
