Just put new drums and shoes on my 2002 cavalier and now its making a clicking noise while applying the brakes. The noise seems to be once per revolution. Took everything back off and double checked it and can't find anything making the noise, any one have any ideas or suggestions? Also the noise is coming from both sides.
drums could be out of round, one of the spring pins could have fallen off did you disassemble and check it?

The drums are new and spin around evenly(without rubbing) and I did disassemble and inspect everything after hearing the clicking sound, everything is there and does not appear to have any issues. The noise only happens while braking or appling the e-brake to stop. Its also both sides making the noise.
When I did the rear brakes this happened to me also but it went away after awhile.Your brakes are adjusting. If Im correct there should be a slight drag.Make a number of forward and reverse stops to adjust brakes.
Ok so I have been driving the car for three days and still seem to have the clicking noise???? Shouldn't they have adjusted themselves by now?
What parts did you replace just the drums and shoes? It sounds like you need a new adjuster and springs. Did you reuse your old parts springs and adjusters? you should change these parts when you change shoes because heat will slightly warp the springs. The adjusters might also be worn to the point that they are not catching correctly.
