Tokico D-Spec DSP-1

Probably a dumb question here, but I am a noob when it comes to this stuff, so go easy please. When I order this set of struts, does it come with springs, or do I need to order lowering springs as well? Sorry for the idiocy here, but thanks in advance!

they allure you to believe its the 'kit' which tokico DOES have for our cars (yes they do guys, look it up) when it fact it is just the struts.

$697 is outrageous. you can buy them all day long for around $600 from turbo tech racing, a plus performance, or even ebay.

-EDIT- ok, looking back it seems they really are selling the 'KIT' for that price, which is a very good price. cheapest ive ever seen it, in-fact.

Tokico does have a complete kit, but it's not D-specs. I don't know if anyone here has tried the kit to give you feedback, but seeing as they did not include their good lowering struts, I would question the quality of them.

What about the D-Spec DSK501 kit for Cavaliers/Sunfires? Shox.com who has the D-Spec strut and spring combo for $699. Kit is available at other online retailers as well.

Tokico does make an HP spring/strut kit and a D-Spec spring/strut kit.

I should be able to get them for you if anyone is interested. I say "should" because my main Tokico vendor is going out of business right now, but I can figure something out if needed.

I went with D-Spec's and Pro Kit lowering springs on my car, love the things. A set of pro kits could be had pretty cheap if you look around.

Interesting. I thought they only had the HP kit. Anyone tried the D-spec kit? I'm just curious how their springs are.

Yes... you should be able to get it replaced under warranty (although they tend to be SLOW)... Or you can also buy single struts too.

Stock wheels:

17s I had a while ago:

I have had these (D-Spec kit with springs) for quite a while now (guessing since 2006) and have been quite happy with them. they have been on both of my Cavs. but remain on the 98 now.

Pics of what? The box the set came in? The springs are not marked as being Tokico.

I will see what I can do the next time i have the wheels off. Its just D-Specs with 1.4" lowering springs, and Eibach sway bar kit. Nothing special, but it all works together quite well.
