ssbc residual pressure vavles??

Just wondering if these would do any good with stopping power? I was looking at them and there's a 10lb valve for the drum brakes, but seeing as how the fluid draining back into the master isn't really a prob on these cars I wondered if it would make a differance at all; you know instead of doing a rear disc swap/upgrade.

lol, you think by putting in residual valves that will be similar to swapping a disc upgrade?

Residual valves are made to keep brake fluid from draining back to the master cylinder, not compensate for anything but that.

if anything it would probably cause you to lock up the rears earlier than normal.

Another thing...... your still braking with STOCK stuff, in other words, if you want better brakes, upgrade to better pads and rotors upfront, keep your rears in good working order. By all means spend some cash and do the Neon rear disc swap, the guys that have done it seem to be happy, also an option is Baer/SSBC discs..... if you want to spend some more cash.

Yeah I just did new fronts (powerslot and hps) and the rears. I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried this is or if it would help to better engage the rear brakes for more stopping. Honestly i dont want discs that bad in the rear, Id rather drop the cash into my sti. Just wondering about little things that might help to make it perform more like my subie (even though no matter what i do it's still a cavalier) so when i have to drive the cav it's more enjoyable. Thanks for the input guys

a residual pressure valve does nothing during normal braking. all it does is maintain a minimal line pressure after you let off the pedal.
