Very nice I got mine on the other day and aligned. It will be a while for me to see how they are on the track. Wouldn't happen to be Andrew I met when you came to Chicago for the half marathon with Dave and Lins?
sweet. let me know how they work out for you. the car is definately different now. I really like how it feels.
Yeah, same Andrew. how you doing Jeff?
so far I like how they feel on the road but...I've got a clogged cat to replace so I'm not enjoying the twisties all to much...other than that I'm good made a test pipe and welded in my wideband bung and o2 bung. How did the auto-x go?
ah, illinois and its annoying emissions checks!
autoX went pretty well. they guy who i've been running neck and neck with all season didn't have any clean runs (kept DNF'ing), so i didn't have anything good to compare to. We'll see what happens this sunday. Hopefully I'll be able to get the alignment checked out before then.
i'll let you know when i'm going to an autox somewhere between the two of us. would be cool to meet up again.
up bet, I'd be down for some autox if I can make it out there.
Couple of questions for you guys that have installed these.
I've got a set I'm finishing up on this weekend but had some issues with the plates binding.
So in lieu of sending them back, I went ahead and remachined the slots and opening just enough to make the plates slide like they should.
They work nicely now and no more binding.
Did you guys do anything to your bearings when you mounted them onto your new plates?
Another thread had revealed that there was some squeaking going on with the plates from the bearings.
I also noticed that you stated that the camber plates lowered the car by about a half inch or so, that true?
With me running the ProKits on the car, that would be wonderful because it won't have any other effect on bump steer with going with deeper lowering springs.
Last questions for you guys. What kind of camber adjustment are you getting with these? I was hoping for a mininum of -1.5 degrees for the street and a viable -2 to -2.5 for autocross or track use.
Thanks for the response people and nice to see these on others cars.
Btw, here's a mock fitment of the plates on the car.
Here's where I had to modify the plates to make them not bind and move a bit more freely.
Here's the before modification. You can see I've already done the center portion to prevent it from binding. Notice the screw marks in the slots.
The finished product.
Thanks for the input guys.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
i used silicon grease on all the moving parts and i don't have any issues with squeaking.
i honestly didn't check for binding before i put them in. i was too excited to get them on the car lol.It seemed to slide pretty easily to give me more negative camber. it didn't want to come back out to the center though. I'll check them when i take them off for the winter ( i run stock suspension for that, too much snow to be lowered).
the plates lowered my car by about 1/2 inch, which is why i had to have spacers made. the tires would rub the fenders at that height with my tein basics. I haven't checked to see what kind of camber i am getting, but from tire wear during autox, it looks like it would be helpful if i could get more.
hope i answered the questions you had.
Well I don't have much input on my Ground Controls and Koni's as my O.E.M. camber plates broke within 119 miles of driving on them. The snap rings popped out of the groove in the plate shearing the aluminum above the groove which require replacement. I contacted O.E.M. as I have the first set of plates he made for coil overs with the camber option. I'm waiting for my replacements to come in the mail, but after going through my pm's all the way to March I had a pm where he told me he was going to send out a replacement set as these were no good from the get go, but I never received them and didn't get around to installing my coilovers until early September when I forgot about the issue in the first place 6 months later. But before they broke I didn't have any binding issues with them as I played with settings shorty after I got the car running again.
Here is what they look like now.
Thanks for the info guys.
Got mine installed this weekend including the rear mounts from OEM too.
And yeah, I could tell that there was some further drop in the ride height too when I finally got to mount them up.
We'll see if it drops the car too much with the ProKits I've got on the car.
Thanks again.
