does anyone recommend a wheel spacer to run 225/50/16 tires on ls chrome rims so it doesn't come close to rubbing? or run it as it is and hope it doesn't ever rub your suspension? let me know if you need other views. i should have a few more. btw, these are not my rims as i don't have mine anymore. helpin anthony find out if he can run tein ss w/ his new tires before he buys his new suspension set up.

^ i like the new sig! i'd try a 3mm spacer. (if available!) After used. I would check the lugs frequently for safety purposes!

BTW we found out the stock ls chromies have a 47 offset. And yeah with my 225s it was a close fit as you can tell. I just don't want to buy the ss's and then have rubbing issues. Obviously I'd rather not run spacers, but I guess if that is the only option to get some clearance than so be it. Can anyone recommend some spacers? I know there's some on ebay but can they be trusted?
That's enough space, mine look like they have a little less space and show no wear marks on the tires or shocks.
I got my wheel spacers from a local performance shop for like 20 bucks for both, and those spacers you showed look similar.

Are you on SS's? What size spacer did you go with?
I have 225 50 16 on my car with Basics, and they were rubbing.....not cool. Haven't checked in a while, but I'm hoping that my adjusting fixed the problem lol

I've been running spacers for years with no issues.
Right now, I'm running no spacer up front because the Nexo's I have are a 42mm offset so no issues with the KYB's at all. Sorry, no Teins yet.
I'm running 7mm spacers like the ones pictured on the rear with no issues at all.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
My teins I have less space then that with 225/45-17's and have never had a rubbing issue.
Same thing goes for my z wheels no issues whatsoever.
Very very close but hasn't rubbed, and I dont run spacers on them.

Is it true that '02 z wheels have a 42mm offset? My LS Sports are 47mm according to the back of the rim, so if I switch to the z wheels will that mean I will have 5mm of more space?
I have a set of 02 wheels at home, I'll check tomorrow and see if I can find the offset

The Z wheels are also 47mm offset.
I just sold a set and noticed that on the back of the rims.

Hey Guys,
I have a 04' Z24 with Tein SS and I HAD the same problem. Therefore, I did the same thing and went with a spacer, but it really didn't do much, it only gave me a little more room. So if anyone wants my spacers, I’ll gladly just give them to you. They work fine and I have never had a problem with the. What I did to fix the problem was I went to a local speed shop and had them slot out the bottom mount holes to bring the wheel right out and then just brought my camber all the way in. It worked light a charm, there is plenty of room now and I went to a GM dealer and got a perfect alignment done as a result. I have had it like that for years and have never had a problem. If anyone is interested in more detail on what I did or would like me to take pictures I’ll be glad to do so. I went through hell trying to solve the problem on the phone with Tein and they said don't worry that’s just the way it is.
With that being said I have a few problems of my own with the suspension. Does anyone else’s car vibrate with acceleration because the lower I go the worse it gets, how can I fix that? I see cars on this forum lower than mine, so they must have the same problem. Also, when I go over speed bumps and turn the corners I notice clunks and noises from the struts. I'm guessing it's because now there isn't any rubber, its metal to metal mounts, any solutions for that?
Thanks for any feedback guys.
Frank
My SS's make absolutly no noise, no clunking, clanging, or rubbing.
The clunking is probably your strut mounts are shot. And vibrating I can't help with.
on my basics i have 02 ls stock rims with no spacers and i have the stock tire size on them.... never had a rubbing issue....
