Hey,
Just like the title says. I did a search but didn't find anything. A friend has a setup where looks like he uses a sway bar link with multiple bushings instead of the one piece bushing that comes stock. I want to know how that setup exactly works (actually we don't talk). Or if I can find a polyurethane bushing that I can substitute instead. I looked and found tie rod end boots aftermarket but just not for my year car. There is a really cheap kit of sway bar links, two inner and outer tie rods with ball joints for both sides on E-bay, 80 shipped I think. I could just replace it all but don't think I need everything.

What do you guys think of just getting this anyway and then finding the tie rod aftermarket bushing?
Thanks!

first of all the sway bar endlink is 4 bushings stock so the sotck is multiple and send whats this have to do with poly tierod boots
that link you posted isn't for poly boots as far as i know they don't make them
its a ball joint and tierod replament kit with new sway bar endlinks and the link in the picture look like stock just blue but all you wil lget is after market ball joints and tierod ends then they put poly bushings in for the sway bar
other then that i have no idea what your trying to say

Energy makes universal tie rod boots, you can find them at your local autozone.
Oh yeah? Do you happen to know what size the boots are or will autozone be able to tell me? I don't need to replace all ball joints and tie rods but I thougt why not for that price. I progessively built my suspension but during that time those parts mentioned have had their fair share of abuse! So for now the TIE ROD END BOOTS POLYURETHANE will be just fine. Thanks!

Idk, just walk in, they're usually in stock (at least around me they are). Either way they'll be able to look them up. Check out the website too.
listening....
Every time I scream "Release", I mean it, you know it. I feel the day. Black 7.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!

The only bushings you'll be replacing are the following:
control arm bushings
end link bushings for your stock or aftermarket sway bar front and rear if you opted for an aftermarket rear
rear trailing arm bushings
'D' bushings for your front swaybar
upper and lower engine mounts which can be changed to poly
tranny mount bushings
That's it.
There's no other bushings you can replace on a Jbody.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
I know a friend made something using the same size as sway bar bushings are that's at the end of his tie rod. I'll have to come up with something then! What are rear trailing arm bushings?

Nice! Where did you get it from?
"FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS DRIVE STOCK"
Not really Border.
I did all the work myself without a press.
But I'll tell you this, it's the hardest thing I've ever done to the car when it comes to modifications.
Don't laugh.
It took over three weeks of constant, painstaking ways to get out the old bushings, and it's sleeve.
Once out though, it was quite easy to do the rest with the exception of reinstalling the rear axle.
Even that wasn't as hard as removing the axle bushings though.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
Poly dust boots are overkill and a waste of money. That is one job that rubber does more than adequately.
No, that's one of the few tools that I don't have.
I do tend to do things the hard way though but now that it's behind me, it's all good.
