EBC pads, which is better for daily driven cars? My biggest concern is which has the less brake dust. Also is it worth it to upgrade to Brembo slotted rotors??
Thanks!

slotted-not for daily driving.
i had green stuff. think that was the recommendation when i "searched" the forums. it still had brake dust and then i used them for auto-x.

So just keep turning the stock ones for daily driving?

All brake pads dust.. but the EBC green stuff will dust less than most regular pads.
Reds are for racing applications, if I'm recalling correctly. Go with greens for daily driving, or the yellows if you autocross or drive exceptionally "spirited" on a daily basis.
Nothing wrong with slotted rotors.

Alrighty so the EBC Greens are better than the Hawk HPS' as well?

I agree with Lenko...there is absolutely nothing wrong with slotted rotors. Will enhance pad friction surface at some small cost of surface contract area...but well worth it.

I haven't ever seen a comparison of the two... so I can't tell ya.
Originally the green stuff pads were the low dust compact car street pads with the most cold stopping power. All of the green red and yellow stuff pads have since gone through many revisions. Currently all of the pads offer much greater cold stopping power and less dust, and now the red stuff is listed as the low dust prestige import "fast street" pads. The green stuff is now listed as medium dust.
All of this can be found by searching EBC's website.

BTW, I've been running the original Green Stuff with original Powerslot rotors for several years with no complaints other than medium dust I would say, and now I've gotten them down to the squealers, and I'll be replacing them with the new red stuff and their Ultimax Blackdash USR slotted rotors. I expect that combo to be very nice.

That's the combination I went for with the Neon rear swap setup in that I'm using the EBC redstuff pads and the USR slotted rotors. Nice looking combination and can't wait to finish up the car and get it on the road.
RedStuff pads seemed to be the best pad for the type of driving I'll be doing for track days and some autocross events once I get the car sorted out.

Another vote for Hawk HPS pads here. Brake dust is less than stock i guess, but my biggest thing was a firm controlled stop and even wear. The HPS pads are awesome for DD IMO, 60 bucks plus 20 for turned stock rotors = an awesome and cheap brake upgrade.
P.S., add SS brake lines for an even more firm controlled feeling.
