Well long story short my girlfriend went out to autozone about a couple weeks ago and bought some Monroe suspension struts for my cav (I told her I was thinking about lowering my car) the guy their told her that they can be used for lowering. So Im curious can they be use for lowering or no?

here is the strut.

The guy wasn't lying. They can be used for lowering. Sort of the same way a stock Cavalier can be raced in the Dakar rally.

Monroes are barely an improvement over factory struts. You wouldn't be doing yourself any favors by keeping them (and lowering), except for trying to save the lady's feelings. It's really not a safe prospect for anyone involved.

so how well will it do with some lowering springs on them and what is the best that would make it last the longest?
