So I just ordered a set of Baer Decela rotors at work, getting them for $108 +tax. What I want to know is from someone who has been using these on their car. Im going to be running them with Duralast Gold CMAX pads. What kind of wear did you see in these rotors, quality of them, how well the zinc coating lasted, fade, pad wear, warping issues. This is just to give me an idea of what im looking at. I cant wait to get these on once i get the wheels on and calipers painted. Should look a lot beter than the stoch rusted ones on there now. Thanks!

I have had them on since last june. They are mated to a set of Hawk pads. It's a decent set-up, stops alittle quicker than stock. My car has also been sitting in the garage(sleeping) since the end of November and the rotors dont have any rust on them at all.

best epiosode of barney ever lol
had them until i saw them cracking where the holes were drilled. not a fan of them at all. got the powerslots and never looked back.
this will be my third set of these rotors my next brake job here soon.....i have never hard the cracking in the rotors ever and i beat the crap out of these rotors. i had tried with both the EBC and the Hawk pads and i gotta say i like the EBC better
ill see how they handle with i but stainless steel brake lines with the next brake change

Ok, that was one of my worries with them, ill just make sure i keep the edges of the holes rounded every few months. Baer offers a 3 year warranty against cracking, plus I don't really plan on having the car in 3 years so I think i'll be good. Anyone else want to give me their opinion on these.

That's interesting,
Seeing as their big brake kits last a good while.
Granted they are a much fatter rotor.
I'll have to check on the drilled/slotted brembos I have.
The car has been sitting outside for....ever.

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
that above is less than one year. they crack because they cast them then drill them, companies like porche and ferrari cast theirs with the holes in them so they dont crack. the drilled look doesnt do anything at all for the braking.
Yeah, I realize it doesn't do anything, I wanted just slotted, but i figured for $108 it was a good deal. I think i'm still gonna get them and see how they work/

I have had baer and powerslots on my car. I currently have the baer and I still say go with Powerslot. Braking is easier with the powerslot and my baer are wearing quicker. Baer isn't too bad, however I prefer the Powerslots. Both Rotors were used with Hawk HPS Pads.
I have a set but I have barely any miles on them even after I bought them back when TTR did a GP on them with Hawk Pads in 05. Mine still look fine with no cracks and maybe 500 miles.
I had a set with HPS pads and have no complaints about the braking performance, however I took mine off when they cracked just as Vincents. I currently have a set on my 98 because they were replaced when an upgrade was done.
mine cracked. EBC makes some sweet rotors that I'm trying out next. I'm on powerslots right now tho
Ive had mine for about 2 years, just recently resurfaced them but no cracking. I run them with Perfomance friction pads. WHere are you getting them for $108 at ?
I had my Baer rotors for over 2 years with no issues what so ever... Used hawk pads with them
I got Baer Decela Rotors and hawk pads back in 2006. Put somewhere around 10k-15k miles on them in a year and a half. Then garaged the car from early 2007 to this spring. Put on around 500 miles this spring and just removed them last weekend. Replaced with Powerslots, Hawk Pads, and newer calipers.

I got them at AutoZone where I work with my discount, I installed them the day after I posted this and I love them so far. I'll post pics tomorrow after I wash the car since it'll be nice out. I just need to paint the calipers yet.

Those Baer Decela rotors look just like the cheap Rotex rotors I've got on my front wheels.
They've worn really good with no cracks at all.
Those and some Bendix Titanium pads have been great for stopping the car under any condition including some panic stops which were awe inspiring considering that they're basically stock replacements with good pads and stainless lines.
Since I'm doing the Neon disc swap for the rear, I've bought the EBC slotted rotors for the SRT4 and plan on doing the same for the fronts once I do the NWF swap sometime later this year.
EBC RedStuff pads to compliment the Neon EBC rotors and the car should have some good stopping power once it's all done.
EBC seems like a great up and coming company and their better rotors are powder coated so that they'll never rust and always look good.
I'd say that adding stainless steel brake lines to any cars braking system will make a world of difference in how the car stops and feels when it stops.
Panic stops are right now with no hesitations and coming from a blast down the 1320, the car stops with no fade at all or ever.
Just some thoughts since we're on the subject of brakes.
