Lowering springs

Going to be installing lowering springs in my own personal garage. Any advice?

Get a big ass breaker bar for the bottom strut bolts. YOU'LL NEED IT.

Make sure that you're using proper struts. Get yourself new mounts, and assemble all of the new parts before jacking up your car.

Once that's done, remove the factory struts, springs, and mounts, and toss them (or save them, in case you want to put them back on should you ever sell the car).

Do it right, do it once, with all new parts, and you'll never worry about it. This will also give you the added bonus of not having to deal with the spring compressor.

I was about to say get a spring compressor if you plan on retaining the stock mounts. But ditto on previous post, get it all new!
