ok so while waiting on the STD suspension guys to get back with me on their coilovers, i was thinking about going another route with my suspension setup. i have the eibach 1.4 inch drop i can never remember if they are the sportlines or pros..oh well..anyways i was looking at mantaparts website and 450 is a nice price for struts made for lowering. couple of questions is mantapart easy to deal with and fairly quick on shipping, i live in ohio, and how good are these struts exactly, the sticky says that they are a good choice...but i need other opinions

Shipping hahahaha. Good luck on that. You'll be lucky to even get the parts. There are alot of threads about how @!#$ty mantapart is.

one guy tried to contact them near the end of the thread, took them almost a week I think it was to respond back denying everything.

Thanks for the info based on what you guys have said im gonna not go through mantapart to get my struts even tho they are supposed to be good and be a decent price...ill prolly go with tokico dspecs and my eibach springs.....what do i need to get for upper mounts tho...just stock ones from autozone?

If your running the pro-kits which is the 1.4" drop, look into the KYB AGX struts.

mantapart is to be avioded. They apparently make good stuff, but unless you pay COD and dont mind waiting, or live within driving distance to thier shop in ohio, I would highly recomend not going through them.

Ok so in my Infinite wisdom, i didnt realize that i live like 45 mins away from mantapart...and i have been emailing them back and forth with prompt responses i might add.....they said that if i drove there and paid cash for the struts he wouldnt charge me tax on them and save me 25 bux...i know it dont sound like alot but 25 bux is 25 bux ya know....anyways heres the catch, he is waiting on a few sets of struts to arrive from the fabrication shop he stated that should be this week sometime.....so maybe i will end up going through them since i live so close to them. so again i ask you how is the quality of the struts overall mainly the ride quality and do they hold up really good.....thanks to The01Cav for the input on the kybs...btw Larry is it? where did u get your rims i like em a lot...

I think those wheels would look nice on almost anything you put them on.

But, I dont think they are for sale YET at least.

so are you gunna pick that suspension up??

i dunno yet.....i was thinking about going a cheaper route....like i said i change my mind all the time i just dont really wanna spend a grand on suspension when to me the only REAL difference in coilovers and lowering springs with lowered struts is the adjustability factor and the cost....i could spend a grand on the STD setup but then i cant put other stuff on my car for a while....problem is there is too many choices when it comes to doing cars i hate it

I have to say I was impressed with how the STD stuff looked......I have yet to see it on anything in person though.....especially a cav.

you should be the guinnea pig.

Typical mantacrap response. This week will turn into next week, then the week after. It never ends. And their quality sucks too. Waiting 6 montsh for a part that you could have built in your own garage with a chisel and it would have looked better is ridiculous in my book. Stay as far away from them as possible, and since you live so close, you should move farther away. They suck.

a good friend of mine here in Ocala has had their shocks/struts for yrs now, and loves them.. I've ridden in/driven the car countless times, and it feels similar to my Tokico D-Specs.. maybe a lil softer (when compared to how Tokico sends them out.. I've never readjusted them)... but even he said DO NOT order enything without doing it COD or you'll never see what ya paid for. as for me, I have a crapload of shocks and struts I wanted to send in for store credit toward a strut tower bar or something, so am I to assume I'd never get my store credit as well?
