strut mounts

Hey all. I havent searched on here, but I have searched the web extensively. I am wondering if any company makes a lowered strut? I mean, the 2 inches I got out of my springs just arent enough. If you know of any company that has a lowered strut, that would be awsome! If not, then I am thinking of getting a set from the junk yard and going to work chopping them up to work. By the way it seems, I can just cut away the welds on the strut mount, slide the mount up on the strut (say an inch or so) weld it back up and that would give me another inch of drop. How safe would you guys say this is? I mean, if I had good, strong welds, would you do this? I understand that I will probably need camber plates. So, what are your opinions? If anyone has pics of doing this, that would be great. I read in another post that someone did this, but on an easystreet kit.

98z24, lowered 2", aem intake, cat-back striaght pipes!, cop ligths in the front and rear, 18" liquid metal's, primer black, tint, full audio and video.

LMAO.

There's more than enough information in this forum to answer your stupid questions.
You asked a question while flat-out admitting you haven't searched it. There's a sticky that addresses your questions.

If you can't be bothered to look and read, you're not going to get any useful answers.

If you can't handle getting a wise-ass response to a post like that, go cry somewhere else.

That's you in public. Search and you will find the answer

anyway, I apologize for my previous post, but it wasnt very helpful. I searched, I mean I have searched to no end. And what I have come up with is ther are no struts that will lower my car. Rather there are struts set up for lowered cars. Well, moving on from that, I did notice you can adjust struts. Is my factory struts adjustable? I mean, I know they wont ride well if I try to get lower with them, and I probably run the risk of blowing them, but anway, can I adjust my factory struts? And if I can, where do i adjust them and how do i go about adjusting them?

You have to get adjustable struts. You will also have to get a coilover kit if you want to go lower than 2".

There is no good way around doing it right. It's just a fact that you have to live with. You're either going to do it right and spend the money, or you're going to do it wrong and have a sh!tty suspension that will most likely ride like sh!t, and it will definitely be unsafe.
