AutoZone does it for free.

the cheapest available consumer abs scanner is $300. take it to a national shop that does brakes.

yes, it's all through the same port, BUT, the standard code scanners dont do abs codes.

I've used code scanners to do ABS codes before. Maybe I've just lucked out with the ones I've used.
link to said scanner? none of them i'm aware of scan abs. (short of the tec-2 or snap-on modis...) i could be wrong, but the only one actron makes that read abs just came out and costs roughly $300, auto x-ray doesnt even have an abs scanner, in fact, i'm not sure any other consumer level scanners (read: moderately inexpensive {<$400}) are capable.

I've used both the Tech 2 and the Modus to do it, but the ones I'm talking about are the little generic ones. I have no idea what the brand is, it was quite a few years ago. We had a pile of them to pick from to get generic codes, and of the several I picked, 1 or 2 of them pulled ABS codes that actually were codes (not some generic scanner code). Man, that was like 7 or 8 years ago now.
well, I am looking at roughly $100 to get it scanned!!!! Oh well, I guess I will just have to bite the bullet.
